Kuang Si Waterfall was by far our favorite site in Luang Prabang! We were so surprised to see the gorgeous aqua color, after the brown river. It must have been a secret paradise before getting overrun by tourist. We hope it doesn’t get ruined from too many visitors. The waterfall is top on our recommendation list!
The bears in this jungle sanctuary near the waterfall were rescued from poachers. Many Asian Black Bears (Moon Bears) are illegally caught to extract bile for medicinal purposes. George and I each bought a t-shirt to support the bear rescue center.

We didn’t swim, since we both weren’t feeling 100% and we weren’t sure if we’d dry before getting back in the van.
