Boat ride in Hoi An, Vietnam

After  checking out some of the sites in Old Town Hoi An we took an hour boat ride toward the ocean in a little boat paddled by one lady.  As we headed toward a low bridge she told us to duck and George laughed, thinking she was kidding, but then we really did have to lie down as low as we could in the boat to get under the bridge.

We saw boats coming back from the ocean to bring their catches to the market.

On the way back George tried to help out by paddling for a while, but the boat kept turning to face the bank instead of down river.  He finally had to give up and allow the expert to get us back.  Paddling this type of boat takes a special technique!
