We opted for the bus to Bled instead of the train since the bus will drop you off at the bus station right in the heart of the town of Bled. If you take the train it will drop you off at Lesce-Bled Station which is about 4km from Bled. Then you would have to take a bus from the train station to Bled. So there really is no reason to take the train, unless you are staying in Lesce-Bled. The buses leave from the main bus station in Ljubljana every hour, on the hour (I don’t know how late the last bus runs). We took the 3:00 PM bus and the very scenic trip took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. You can either purchase your tickets at the station for 6.3 Euros or on the bus. Also, there is no fee for stowed luggage!
