After lunch there was some more down-time before our evening activity. Some of the campers and staff played a muddy football (soccer) game that resulted in a couple injuries. We just rested and chatted with some of the other campers.

You can tell the langur monkeys apart from the similar sized macaque monkeys by their mo-hawk hair do’s. George may not have even taken any photos of the common macaque monkeys, since he just finds them annoying. They are always trying to be sneaky!
No matter where you are in Sabah, Borneo you have beautiful sunsets and the Kinabatangan River is an amazing place to be! Surprisingly tranquil, yet abundant with wildlife that is found nowhere else in the world!
Our guide told us we would be able to see Flying Foxes, and most of us were expecting something similar to a flying squirrel. We were a bit disappointed to find out that flying foxes are actually giant fruit bats! We were told that their wingspan can reach 1 meter! On our way back to camp hundreds of these bats flew over us all heading in the same direction – towards the fruit plantations.
