We had dinner upstairs at Xu Xiu restaurant, with a great view of the concert.
Besides break dancers in between sets there were DJs spinning all kinds of cool techno. So it was part rave, part break dancing and part 90s rock cover tunes with a mix of some Vietnamese rock tunes.
The band played many covers of Metallica and Aerosmith and they were quite good! Especially since English is a second language to them!
We met up with Collin (from Stockton, CA – who is on a similar journey as us), actually just coincidentally, after running into him several times over the past few days. Then he was there again in the restaurant that night! We had a great conversation over dinner and hope to meet up with him again somewhere along our journey.
The restaurant owner brought us paper lanterns and papers to write a dream on, so we could release them into the river.
