West Lake, Hanoi

After the Temple of Literature we walked up north passing by the Ho Chi Minh Museum, where we planned to visit the next day.  When we reached the West Lake we saw people peddling around in swan boats, and just had to join them!  An one hour ticket was 50,000 dong ($2.85), not a bad price.  We peddled over to see the Tran Quoc Pagoda, and then headed back to the shore.

The lake seems like a perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon or evening.  There was a restaurant on a boat, but we decided to walk back through the cobweb of streets in the old quarter and found a good pho (noodle soup) place to eat there.
