Arrived safely in Bangkok

After 30 hours of travel, we are in Bangkok.  My stomach was a bit in knots last night before we landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport, worried what the situation would be like after the protest.  We were pleasantly surprised to find the airport bright, clean, calm, and fairly empty.  We had to wait a while for our hotel transport, but at least we didn’t have to pay for a taxi.  We stayed last night at the Grand Pinnacle.  It was a simple room, but clean and close to the airport.  It included round trip airport transfer, breakfast, and free WiFi.  Our flight to Phuket is at 6:50pm tonight, so we will just be relaxing and waiting around most the day.
