I got a pedicure at Big Smile Massage in Kata Beach for 200 baht ($6). It’s 150 baht for pedicure and color and 50 baht extra for the little flower design. George got his hair cut there, also for 200 baht.

Venture to Phuket Town on the Songthaew
Phuket Town, is the main town for the province of Phuket, but really, it should be called Phuket City as it seemed quite large and polluted with many bustling cars and people going about their business. Actually, the locals just call it Phuket, so I think the ‘Town’ part is just added for us tourists.
Snacks
To save money, we’ve been eating instant noodles for dinner. The blue one on the right is Tom Yum flavor, and has super spicy tiny red Thai chilis. Sometimes it’s too spicy to eat! The other one is Pad Kee Mao flavor, and has the chili powder in a separate packet, so you can control
Casa del Gelato
With Casa del Gelato right next door to Kata Beach Studios, I will be eating a lot of gelato. Yummy! So far I have tried coconut and chocolate. It’s $2 for a single scoop and $3 for a double scoop.
Mama Daeng- Best deal for lunch
Today we found the best deal yet for lunch at Mama Daeng Cheap and Tasty Eats. We stopped for lunch on our way back from the Karon post office on Patak Rd, a little before turning back towards the ocean on Kata New Rd. George got chicken fried rice and I got sweet and sour
Dale’s Visit to Phuket
We got our first visitor today! Dale stopped by Phuket on his way home from a business trip in Singapore. Thanks for coming to see us, Dale! Next time we hope Stephanie can make it too and that you can stay longer than one day. We would love to have more visitors, if anyone else
Waterproof camera case
I put my camera in its water proof case today and had fun taking photos in the water at Kata Beach. I tried setting the timer and letting the camera float in the water, but those photos were too silly to post.
Longtail boats on Kata Beach
George took this photo at Kata beach yesterday afternoon. Today the beach was the most crowded we have seen it so far! Maybe because it was 11am, but maybe also because it is getting closer to Christmas.
